6.      State what educational technology entails

7.      State the difference between Technology in Education and Technology in education

What is instruction?

Ø  It is the act of giving a concept opinion to bring about skill.

Ø  It is the act of imparting knowledge.

Ø  It is a way to help learners to acquire experience

Ø  Instruction encompasses teaching and learning.

Ø  Though instruction is not only about desired outcomes it should centre on how to achieve them.

Ø  Instruction could be defined as the purposeful direction of the learning process, it involves major class activities along with planning and management

Preface to Principles of Instruction

u  An instructor must understand the concepts and principles upon which instruction can take place.

u  . Though as a beginner it is expected that you should not only learn approaches from different designers.

u  It is also important for you to learn the principles required because this will enable you to devise or develop your method or model

u  Another fact that you should realise is that the ability to understand the principles would arouse your inquisitiveness, which will make you start asking questions like:

u  "Why is this being done?" and "Why is this being done now? “

u  This will help you to modify and acquire your competency

u  Whatever principles are used it should not be teacher direction but student-teacher interaction.

u  Note that a good teacher should always place students as a priority for instruction so students are taken to a level that at the end of the day acquire the desired learning outcome.

u  Then, what are the principles of instruction?

Principles of Instruction

  1. Personally rehearse and practice what is to be presented to students about the new topic or concept
  2. Start the lesson by helping students to recall the previous topic taught.
  3. Give a short review of the previous lesson
  4. In introducing the new topic to students link it to the previous lesson using the relevant resources
  5. Provide guidance, and encourage regular contact and interaction with learners
  6. Encourage independent Self-regulating Practice
  7. Make samples available by providing scaffolds for challenging tasks
  8. Assist and lead them to come out with their best ability
  9. Look out for student level of assimilation
  10. Allow regular feedback and give room for adjustments

Who is a teacher?

u  A teacher is a word that designates a person who teaches and gives knowledge about various things including education, behaviour transformation, and general knowledge.

u  A teacher or school teacher is a person who provides education for pupils and students.

u  A teacher is a person who helps others to acquire knowledge, skills, competencies or values.

u  A Teacher is a designation for the office, position, and profession for someone who devotes himself to the field of education through patterned educational interaction, formal and informal

Roles of a teacher in the formal school setting

u  The role of a teacher is often formal in the formal school setting and carried out at a school or other place of formal education.

A teacher has the responsibility of explaining and demonstrating concepts in a variety of ways for a variety of different learners utilising different learning styles.

u  A teacher is also a learner, he or she learns how his or her student(s) learn and modifies their teaching accordingly.

u  A teacher is expected to possess skills and should be deeply rooted in certain subject areas of knowledge.

u  A teacher should make clearer presentations and recognize students' difficulties enthusiastically.

u  A teacher should always be ready to handle the queries of their students effectively.

Definitions of Educational Technology

u  Educational technology can be considered either as a design science or as a collection of different research interests addressing fundamental issues of learning, teaching and social organisation.

u  Educational technology is the study and ethical practice of facilitating learning and improving performance by creating, using and managing appropriate technological processes and resources.

u  Educational technology is sometimes also known as instructional technology or learning technology.

u  Educational technology is the use of technology to improve education.

u  It is a systematic, interactive process for designing instruction or training used to improve performance.

What Educational Technologies Entails

u  It can facilitate learning and improve performance via the usage and management of appropriate technological resources.

u  It covers an integrated process that involves people, procedures, ideas, devices, and organization in analysing and analysing problems.

  11. These concepts are complementary, not oppositional. Technology in education provides the raw materials — powerful, accessible tools that can democratize access, enable scalability (e.g., MOOCs, AI tutors), and make learning more engaging and personalized. However, without the framework of technology of education, it often leads to superficial adoption: flashy gadgets that don't meaningfully improve outcomes, exacerbate inequalities, or distract from core pedagogy.
The real power lies in the of approach: using evidence-based design to integrate tools thoughtfully. For instance, AI can deliver adaptive practice (hardware/software), but only rigorous instructional design ensures it aligns with how humans learn, mitigates biases, and fosters deep understanding rather than rote memorization. In an era of rapid AI and digital transformation, over-focusing on "in" risks technosolutionism — assuming more screens equal better education. Prioritizing "of" encourages critical questions: Does this tool enhance equity, retention, creativity, and human connection? How do we measure success beyond engagement metrics?
Ultimately, effective education leverages both: tools amplified by smart systems. This leads to more efficient, inclusive, and human-centered learning. Educators and policymakers should invest in training that builds both familiarity with tools and expertise in systematic design. The goal isn't technology for its own sake, but better learning outcomes for all.

  12. Here are my views on the distinction between Technology of Education and Technology in Education, building on the lecture and the thoughtful student comments shared.

    ---

    The Core Distinction

Technology of Education Technology in Education
"The science" — systematic application of learning theories, instructional design, and pedagogical methods "The tools" — physical devices, software, and digital infrastructure used in classrooms
Process-oriented: How we teach and learn Product-oriented: What we use to teach and learn
Human-centered design: Focuses on cognition, motivation, and learning outcomes Tool-centered implementation: Focuses on access, functionality, and integration
Examples: Bloom's taxonomy, scaffolding strategies, formative assessment frameworks, adaptive learning algorithms Examples: projectors, LMS platforms, AI tutors, VR headsets, tablets

    ---

    Why the Distinction Matters

    1. Without "Technology of Education," "Technology in Education" is hollow.

Buying the latest smartboards or deploying AI chatbots means little if teachers lack training in how humans actually learn. A school can be saturated with devices yet see zero improvement in outcomes — what one commenter called "superficial adoption: flashy gadgets that don't meaningfully improve outcomes."

    2. Without "Technology in Education," "Technology of Education" is limited.

The best instructional design in the world cannot scale without tools. A brilliantly crafted lesson plan reaches 30 students in a classroom; the same plan embedded in a well-designed MOOC can reach 30,000 globally. Tools democratize access.

    3. They are complementary, not competitive.

The most impactful educational innovations occur at their intersection:
    - Adaptive learning platforms ("in") that apply spaced repetition and mastery-based progression ("of")
    - AI tutors ("in") grounded in cognitive load theory and personalized scaffolding ("of")
    - Virtual labs ("in") designed around constructivist, inquiry-based pedagogy ("of")

    ---

    A Critical Perspective: Avoiding Technosolutionism

As one student insightfully noted, over-focusing on "technology in" risks technosolutionism — the assumption that more screens, more apps, or more data automatically equals better education. This mindset often:
    - Exacerbates inequalities (the "digital divide" is real)
    - Prioritizes engagement metrics over deep learning
    - Distracts from core pedagogy

Conversely, prioritizing "technology of" forces harder, more important questions:
    - Does this tool enhance equity, not just access?
    - Does it foster creativity and critical thinking, or just efficient memorization?
    - How do we measure success beyond clicks and time-on-task?

    ---

My View: The "Of" Must Lead, the "In" Must Serve

Technology of education should be the compass; technology in education should be the vehicle.

In an era of rapid AI and digital transformation, the danger is not that we lack powerful tools — it is that we deploy them without pedagogical intention. Effective education requires:

    1. Instructional designers who understand learning science ("of")
    2. Educators who can critically evaluate and integrate tools ("in")
    3. Policymakers who invest in both infrastructure and teacher training in systematic design

The goal is never technology for its own sake. It is better learning outcomes for all learners — achieved when evidence-based process meets thoughtfully deployed product.

  13. Technology has become an essential part of the educational system because it improves the teaching and learning process. However, the concepts technology of education and technology in education are often confused, even though they have different meanings. While both contribute to effective education, they differ in their focus and application.

Technology of education refers to the systematic application of educational theories, principles, methods, and scientific knowledge to improve teaching and learning. It focuses on the planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of instructional activities to achieve educational objectives. It is concerned with how teaching should be organized to make learning more effective, efficient, and meaningful. It draws from disciplines such as educational psychology, communication, curriculum development, and instructional design.

On the other hand, technology in education refers to the use of technological devices and equipment to facilitate teaching and learning. It involves the application of engineering products such as computers, projectors, televisions, videos, tablets, smartphones, interactive whiteboards, and the internet in the classroom. These tools help teachers present lessons more effectively, increase students' interest, and make learning more interactive.
The major difference between the two concepts is that technology of education focuses on the instructional process, while technology in education focuses on the technological tools used during instruction. Technology of education is broader because it includes the planning and management of the entire teaching-learning process, whereas technology in education is limited to the use of technological equipment to support teaching.

In conclusion, technology of education and technology in education are closely related but different concepts. Technology of education deals with the scientific and systematic approach to teaching and learning, while technology in education emphasizes the use of technological devices in the classroom. Therefore, technology in education can be regarded as a part of technology of education since technological tools are used within the broader framework of instructional planning and delivery.

  14. Technology IN education is faster delivery.
Technology OF education is smarter delivery.

Nigeria currently focuses heavily on the "IN" (laptops in schools, e-learning portals) but mostly ignores the "OF" (adaptive learning, competency-based progression).

The result? We have shiny tools but still produce graduates who can't solve practical problems—exactly what Solarin warned about.

The ideal: Use technology OF education to design a system that makes every child learn at their own pace, then use technology IN education to execute that design affordably at scale.

  30. Technology of education and technology in education are related concepts, but they are different in meaning and application.
Technology of education refers to the systematic and scientific process of designing, implementing, and evaluating the entire teaching and learning process. It focuses on methods, strategies, objectives, and psychological principles that improve learning. In this sense, technology is seen as an approach to education. It involves careful planning of instructional activities, curriculum development, classroom management, and assessment techniques to make learning more effective. The emphasis is on the process of education rather than only on machines or devices.
On the other hand, technology in education refers to the use of technological tools and equipment to support teaching and learning. It includes the use of computers, projectors, televisions, smartphones, the internet, educational software, and multimedia resources in the classroom. Here, technology is used as an aid or instrument to facilitate instruction and make lessons more interesting, interactive, and accessible.
In my view, the major difference lies in their scope and focus. Technology of education is broader because it covers the complete system of teaching and learning, including instructional methods and educational planning. Technology in education is narrower because it mainly deals with the application of technological devices and media in educational settings.
Another difference is that technology of education is based on educational theories and research, while technology in education is more concerned with practical tools and equipment. For example, a teacher using group discussion, programmed instruction, or behaviorist learning principles is applying technology of education. However, a teacher using a laptop, projector, or online learning platform is applying technology in education.

  33. My Views on the Differences Between Technology of Education and Technology in Education
Technology in Education refers to the application of modern tools, devices, and resources to support and enhance the teaching-learning process. It focuses on “hardware” and digital aids such as computers, projectors, internet, educational software, smartboards, online platforms, and multimedia. Its main concern is using technology as a medium or tool to deliver content more effectively, increase engagement, and provide access to information.
Technology of Education, on the other hand, is broader and more fundamental. It refers to the systematic, scientific, and organized application of knowledge, principles, and techniques to the entire educational process. This includes instructional design, teaching methodologies, systems approach, curriculum development, evaluation techniques, and psychological principles of learning. It is essentially the “science of education” – focusing on how education should be structured, delivered, and improved for optimal results, regardless of whether physical tools are used.
In my view, while technology in education is a subset that deals with gadgets and digital integration, technology of education is the foundational framework that guides the effective and purposeful use of any tool (including technology). The former risks becoming mere gadgetry without the latter, which ensures meaningful, learner-centered outcomes. Both are important, but technology of education should lead so that technology in education serves genuine educational goals rather than becoming an end in itself.

  65. The term technology of education refers to the comprehensive field that studies, designs, develops, and evaluates educational processes and tools. It is a discipline focused on creating effective instructional methods and learning environments by applying theories of learning, instructional design principles, and systematic research. This field aims to innovate and improve how education is delivered by developing new technologies or refining existing ones. For example, designing an adaptive learning system that personalizes instruction based on student needs falls under the technology of education. It is fundamentally about the creation and improvement of educational technology as a science and practice.

In contrast, technology in education refers to the actual use and integration of technological tools within educational settings. It focuses on how educators and learners employ existing technologies to support teaching and learning activities. This includes the practical application of devices such as computers, tablets, interactive whiteboards, educational software, and online resources during classroom instruction. For instance, a teacher using a digital quiz app or an online video to enhance a lesson exemplifies technology in education. The emphasis here is on the operational use of technology to facilitate learning rather than on the development of the technology itself.

Philosophically, the technology of education is concerned with the design, research, and systematic improvement of educational tools and methods, often driven by educational theories and empirical evidence. It is a proactive and innovative field that seeks to create new ways to enhance learning. On the other hand, technology in education is more reactive and practical, focusing on how existing technologies are adopted and adapted by educators and students in real-world contexts.

The roles involved also differ: professionals in the technology of education include instructional designers, educational technologists, and researchers who develop and evaluate educational technologies and methodologies. Meanwhile, technology in education involves teachers, students, and administrators who use these technologies to improve classroom experiences and learning outcomes.

In summary, the technology of education is the discipline dedicated to creating and refining educational technologies and instructional strategies, while technology in education is about the practical implementation and use of these technologies within educational environments. Recognizing this distinction is essential for ensuring that technology integration in education is both effective and pedagogically sound.

  87. My Views on the Differences Between Technology of Education and Technology in Education

In my view, technology of education and technology in education are related, but they focus on different aspects of the educational process.

    1. Technology of education refers to the application of technological knowledge, skills, methods, and systematic processes to improve teaching, learning, and educational outcomes. It focuses more on how technology and systematic approaches can be used to design and improve education.

    2. Technology in education refers mainly to the use of technological tools and equipment in the teaching and learning environment. Examples include computers, projectors, televisions, videos, interactive boards, and other digital devices.

    3. The major difference is that technology of education focuses on the process, methods, and application of technological principles, while technology in education focuses more on the tools and equipment used to support teaching and learning.

    4. For example, using a projector to display a lesson is technology in education, while designing an effective instructional process that determines what technology should be used, why it should be used, and how it will improve learning reflects technology of education.

    5. Therefore, I believe the two concepts complement each other. The tools provided by technology in education become more effective when they are guided by the systematic principles and processes of technology of education.

In conclusion, technology in education is largely about the tools we use, while technology of education is broader and concerns the systematic application of technological knowledge and processes to make education more effective.

Technology in Education: The use of technological tools and media such as computers, radio, television, and tablets to facilitate teaching and learning.
    TECHNOLOGY OF EDUCATION
This is about the method, system, and process of teaching.

It as "the science of teaching".
It asks: "What is the best way to make students learn?" It does not need any gadget. It’s all about planning and design.

    Examples:
    1. Programmed Instruction- breaking a topic like "Factorization" into small steps where students learn one step before moving to the next.
    2. Systems Approach - First set objectives, then teach, then test, then re-teach if students fail. It’s a cycle.
    3. Task Analysis - Before teaching "Quadratic Graphs", you first list all the smaller skills: completing table, plotting points, finding line of symmetry.
    4. Mastery Learning - Students must score 80% before moving to the next topic.

So, Technology of Education = The Brain work. It’s the blueprint for teaching.

    TECHNOLOGY IN EDUCATION
This is about the tools, gadgets, and equipment we use to teach.
It as "the equipment for teaching". It asks: "What device can I use to deliver this lesson?"
    Examples:
    1. Your Android Tablet + Stylus that you use on Google Meet
    2. Google Jamboard / Microsoft Whiteboard for writing math
    3. Desmos and GeoGebra for graphs and geometry
    4. Projector, Smartboard, Radio, Television, Computer
    5. WhatsApp, YouTube, PowerPoint
So, Technology in Education = The Tools. It’s what makes the lesson look interesting and reach more students.
THE KEY DIFFERENCE IN ONE LINE
Technology OF Education is the process and design of teaching.
Technology IN Education is the media and gadgets used for teaching.

  95. Key Differences Broken Down The Philosophical vs. The Practical: Technology of education is about the science of learning. It answers the question, "How do we structure a lesson so a student actually understands it?" Technology in education is simply about the tools. It answers the question, "What device can we use to show this lesson?"The System vs. The Tool: If you look at a modern classroom, the Learning Management System (LMS) structure, gamified progression systems, and adaptive learning paths represent the technology of education. The actual iPads or Chromebooks the students use to access those paths are the technology in education.Dependency: Technology of education can exist without digital gadgets (e.g., using flashcards based on spaced repetition). However, technology in education is useless without the proper "technology of education" framework to guide its use; a smart board is just an expensive chalkboard if the teaching methodology doesn't change. Thank you.

  106. My Views on the differences between technology of Education and Technology in Education

Technology of education and technology in education are related concepts, but they have different meanings and applications in the educational process.

Technology of education refers to the application of technological knowledge, skills, principles, processes and systematic methods to solve educational problems and improve teaching and learning. It is broader than simply using electronic devices. It involves the design, development, implementation and evaluation of appropriate methods and resources for achieving educational objectives. For example, instructional design, learning management systems, digital assessment, lesson planning models and the use of artificial intelligence to improve learning can all be considered aspects of technology of education.

On the other hand, technology in education refers more specifically to the use of technological tools and equipment in the teaching and learning environment. These may include computers, projectors, interactive boards, televisions, tablets, smartphones, educational software and the internet. The emphasis is on the actual technological resources used to support classroom instruction.

In my view, the major difference is that technology of education focuses on the systematic application of technology, knowledge and processes to improve education, while technology in education focuses mainly on the use of technological tools and equipment within education.

For example, when a teacher uses a projector to display a video during a lesson, this is technology in education. However, when the teacher deliberately designs the lesson, selects the appropriate media, determines the learning objectives, uses the technology, assesses the learners and modifies the instruction based on the results, this represents the broader concept of technology of education.

Therefore, technology of education is broader and more systematic, while technology in education is more concerned with the practical use of technological tools in the educational setting. Both are important because their effective combination can make teaching more engaging, improve learning outcomes and enhance the overall quality of education.

Question: State Your Views About the Differences Between Technology of Education and Technology in Education

Having studied this lecture, I understand that although the two terms sound similar, they refer to different concepts.

Technology of Education refers to the application of technology skills and knowledge to education. It is about the process — the systematic application of educational principles and methodology to solve teaching and learning problems. It focuses on how we teach and design instruction. It is the "software" side of educational technology.

Technology in Education involves the systematic use of the products of engineering in education. It refers to the hardware — the actual tools and equipment such as projectors, videos, televisions, and computers used to support teaching and learning. It is about the tools we use.

    My View of the Difference

    · Technology of Education = the process, methodology, and systematic approach to teaching. It is the "how" and "why" of instruction.
    · Technology in Education = the tools, equipment, and machines used in the classroom. It is the "what" we use to teach.

To use an analogy: Technology of Education is like knowing how to cook a good meal (the recipe and technique), while Technology in Education is like having the actual pots, pans, and oven (the equipment). Both are necessary, but they serve different purposes. A teacher may have all the modern gadgets but still fail if they lack sound instructional methodology. Conversely, a skilled teacher with strong methodology can achieve excellent results even with limited equipment.

  116. Differences Between Technology of Education and Technology in Education

Technology has become an important part of modern education. It has changed the way teachers teach and the way students learn. Although the terms technology of education and technology in education are often used together, they have different meanings and areas of application.

Technology of education refers to the systematic application of knowledge, principles, methods, and techniques to improve the process of teaching and learning. It is concerned with how education can be properly planned, organized, implemented, and evaluated to achieve desired learning objectives. It includes instructional methods, curriculum planning, learning theories, assessment techniques, classroom management, and instructional design. Therefore, technology of education is concerned with the overall process of making education more effective and efficient.

On the other hand, technology in education refers mainly to the use of technological tools, equipment, and digital resources in the educational process. Examples include computers, smartphones, projectors, interactive boards, educational videos, the internet, online learning platforms, and educational applications. These tools are used to support teachers and students and to make learning more interesting, accessible, and interactive.

The major difference between the two is that technology of education is broader, because it focuses on the systematic process and methods used to improve education, while technology in education focuses more specifically on the use of technological tools within education. For example, deciding on the best teaching method for a particular group of students can be regarded as technology of education, while using a projector to present a lesson to those students is technology in education.

In my view, both concepts are important because modern education requires effective teaching methods as well as appropriate technological resources. Technology in education can provide useful tools, but those tools will not automatically produce good learning outcomes. They must be properly selected and used as part of a well-planned educational process.

In conclusion, technology of education deals with the systematic improvement of the entire teaching and learning process, whereas technology in education deals mainly with the application of technological tools and resources in that process. Both complement each other and can contribute significantly to achieving effective teaching and learning when properly applied.

  127. *My Views: Difference between Technology OF Education and Technology IN Education*

These two terms are often confused in EduTech, but they mean very different things.

    *1. Technology OF Education*
This is the _science, process, and method_ of teaching and learning.

*Key Idea:* It’s about _how_ we teach using systematic principles.
    - Focuses on instructional design, planning, and systems thinking
    - Deals with methods like programmed instruction, mastery learning, task analysis, behavioral objectives
    - Concerned with making education more efficient, measurable, and goal-oriented
    - It treats "teaching itself" as a technology

    *Example:*
Designing a lesson using systems approach: Set objectives → Select content → Choose method → Assess → Get feedback → Revise.
No gadget needed here. It’s the _blueprint_.

*In short:* Technology OF Education = _The engine/method of education_

    *2. Technology IN Education*
This is the _tools, hardware, and software_ used to support teaching and learning.

*Key Idea:* It’s about _what_ we use to teach.
    - Focuses on physical resources and media
    - Deals with computers, projectors, smartboards, tablets, LMS, educational apps, AI, videos, VR
    - Concerned with making learning more engaging, accessible, and interactive
    - It uses technology to deliver education

    *Example:*
Using PowerPoint, YouTube videos, Zoom classes, or a learning app to teach Mathematics.
Here the _tool_ is the main focus.

*In short:* Technology IN Education = _The vehicle/tools for education_

    ---

    *Quick Comparison*
**Technology OF Education** **Technology IN Education**
**What it is** Process and method of teaching Tools and media for teaching
**Main Question** How do we teach effectively? What do we use to teach?
**Examples** Instructional design, feedback, task analysis Smartboard, e-learning, educational software
**Goal** Make teaching systematic and scientific Make learning engaging and accessible
    *My View*
Both are important and they work together.

`Technology OF Education` gives us the right strategy so we don’t just "teach anyhow".
`Technology IN Education` gives us the tools to deliver that strategy faster and to more learners.

Without the "OF", we can have all the gadgets but poor results.
Without the "IN", we can have good methods but limited reach.

So: *OF = The Method. IN = The Media.*

    Hope this helps Ma 🙏

    *1. Technology OF Education*
This is the _bigger, philosophical_ one.

*Definition*: It’s the systematic application of scientific knowledge and principles to the process of teaching and learning. It’s not about gadgets. It’s about _method_.

*Focus*: The _process_ and _design_ of education itself.
*Key idea*: "How do we engineer learning to be more effective?"

    *Examples*:
    - *System Approach* to lesson planning: Input → Process → Output → Feedback
    - *Programmed Instruction* - breaking topics into small steps with immediate feedback
    - *Behavioral Objectives* - writing clear, measurable learning goals: "By the end, students will be able to..."
    - *Instructional Design Models* like ADDIE: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate
    - *Mastery Learning* - student must master one unit before moving to the next

*Analogy*: Technology of education is like the _blueprint and engineering principles_ for building a house. No cement or hammer needed yet.

    *2. Technology IN Education*
This is the _practical, tool-based_ one.

*Definition*: It’s the use of physical tools, devices, and media to deliver instruction.

*Focus*: The _tools and equipment_ used in the classroom.
*Key idea*: "What gadgets can help us teach better?"

    *Examples*:
    - *Hardware*: Projectors, smartboards, tablets, laptops, VR headsets
    - *Software/Apps*: Google Classroom, Zoom, Duolingo, Khan Academy
    - *Media*: Educational videos, podcasts, animations, simulations
    - *AI tools*: Chatbots for tutoring, automated grading

*Analogy*: Technology in education is the _actual cement, hammer, and paint_ you use to build the house.

    ---

    *Key Differences Summarized*
**Technology OF Education** **Technology IN Education**
**What it is** Methods, principles, processes Tools, devices, media
**Focus** How to teach effectively What to use to teach
**Depends on** Psychology, systems theory, research Hardware, internet, software
**Can exist without gadgets?** Yes No
**Example** Writing lesson objectives, giving feedback loops Using a PowerPoint + Kahoot quiz
    *My View*
You need *both*, but people often confuse them.

A school can have *Technology IN Education* — 50 tablets and a smartboard — but if teachers don’t use *Technology OF Education* like proper instructional design, feedback, and assessment, learning won’t improve. It becomes "shiny toys, same old teaching."

Conversely, you can have *Technology OF Education* with just chalk + blackboard. A well-designed lesson with clear objectives, practice, and feedback is still "technology of education" even with zero devices.

    *So*:
`Technology OF Education` = the brain. The strategy.
`Technology IN Education` = the body. The tools.

The brain should come first. Tools should serve the method, not replace it.

In the Nigerian/Lagos context especially, we often rush to buy tablets "Technology IN" but forget to train teachers on instructional design "Technology OF". That’s why results don’t change much.

What do you think — are you seeing more "tech IN" but less "tech OF" in schools around you?
